IT Support Technician 1

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an IT Support Technician for one of our largest clients to sit in Toledo, OH. This position has been created to support a major Salesforce go-live initiative, as well as a massive new hardware deployment - both of which has caused a high increase in end-user support needs. The technician will play a key role in handling elevated ticket volumes, supporting hardware and software deployments, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring employees receive timely IT assistance. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who has a foundational help desk or technical support experience and is looking to grow within a large enterprise environment.??

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues

Respond to and resolve support tickets related to hardware, software, accounts, and general IT concerns

Support users during and after major technology rollouts, including the organization's Salesforce implementation

Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other end-user devices

Provide support via phone, email, remote tools, and in-person interactions

Assist with software installations, upgrades, and system configurations

Escalate complex issues to senior IT team members when appropriate

Manage and document work within the organization's ticketing system

Support IT asset management and inventory tracking

Assist with additional IT projects and initiatives as needed

Skills and Requirements

1-2+ years of experience in an IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or similar technical support role

Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and troubleshooting methodologies

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work onsite five days per week in Toledo, OH CompTIA A+ or similar certification

Experience using Jira or another IT ticketing system

Experience supporting hardware deployments, software rollouts, or enterprise technology implementations
