Quality Manager

Location: La Grange, NC or Rocky Point, NC Position Summary The Quality Manager will lead and continuously improve the company’s quality management program across transportation operations. This is a hands‑on role focused on operational quality, process compliance, customer requirements, investigations, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated transportation, trucking, logistics, chemical, or industrial operations and be comfortable working with both frontline teams and senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Own and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) . Conduct operational and process audits across terminals and departments. Identify gaps between established procedures and actual operating practices. Investigate customer complaints, service failures, quality incidents, and recurring operational issues. Lead root-cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective/preventive action initiatives. Develop corrective-action plans and verify their effectiveness. Monitor compliance with SOPs, company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Partner with Operations and terminal leadership to improve process consistency and accountability. Develop and maintain quality procedures, standards, controls, and documentation. Analyze quality and operational data to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities. Support customer, regulatory, safety, and internal audits. Develop and support training related to quality, procedures, and process compliance. Establish meaningful quality KPIs and provide regular reports to senior leadership. Collaborate with Safety and Operations on quality, compliance, safety, and operational investigations. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, process discipline, and operational excellence. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 5+ years of progressive experience with liquid bulk, dry bulk, and/or hazardous material transportation Strong experience with process auditing, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics . Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and transportation safety requirements. Must be able to report daily to La Grange, NC or Rocky Point, NC . Preferred / Industry Experience Hazardous materials, chemical transportation, bulk liquid, tanker, or other highly regulated transportation experience. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, CAPA , or similar continuous-improvement methodologies.
