Radiation Therapist

Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in operating Varian TruBeam linear accelerators and the Aria software. Knowledge of Vision RT is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during treatment sessions.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Conduct quality assurance and equipment checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio radiation therapy license.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Proficient in Varian TruBeam and Aria version 15.
• Vision RT experience is an asset but not required.

Work Schedule

• Operating hours: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Scheduled shifts are 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch break.
• 10-hour shifts may be required during holiday weeks to fulfill guaranteed hours.
