Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position in Greeley, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and comfort with flexible staffing ratios.

Details

• Work in a 36-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes general acute care, overflow surgical, renal, cardiac, diabetic, and inpatient hospice patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5–1:6, with the possibility of flexing up based on staffing and unit needs
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30, on various days of the week
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekend shifts based on unit needs
• Floating is required and may include sister facilities (Medical Center of Rockies, Poudre Valley, and Harmony locations); travelers will be notified prior to any float assignment
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• CPI certification preferred
• Comfort and prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the acute care experience requirement
• Scrub color requirement: Navy
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for a local pay rate
• 13-week contract
