Accounting Associate

Job Description:
We are partnering with a CPA firm in Clearwater, FL that is seeking an Accounting Associate / Paraprofessional to join their team on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a collaborative, client-focused environment. This role is available immediately and will support both accounting and tax-related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, etc.)
• Assist with tax planning and compliance activities
• Support general accounting functions including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Work closely with senior accountants and CPAs on client engagements
• Assist during tax season with high-volume workload

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting or public accounting experience
• Hands-on experience preparing tax returns is required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax concepts
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and/or tax software
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
