BI Developer

Role - BI Developer
Location - Tampa, FL
Duration - Fulltime Role

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Sense and/or Tableau
Proficiency in SQL (complex joins, subqueries, performance tuning)
Experience in data modeling (star schema, snowflake, facts & dimensions)
Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines
Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP - preferred)
Knowledge of dashboard performance optimization techniques


Qlik Sense
• Qlik scripting, QVD optimization
• Set analysis, advanced expressions
• Qlik Sense security rules & section access
Tableau
• Calculated fields, LOD expressions
• Tableau extracts vs live connections
• Tableau Server / Cloud publishing and permissions


Roles & Responsibilities
• Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics using Qlik Sense and/or Tableau
• Translate business requirements into effective BI solutions and data visualizations
• Perform data modeling, transformation, and validation to support reporting needs
• Develop optimized Qlik data models (QVDs) or Tableau data sources
• Ensure performance tuning of dashboards and backend queries
• Implement security, row level access, and governance standards in BI tools
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Business Analysts
• Support UAT, production deployments, and post go live enhancements
• Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and visualization issues
• Document dashboards, data definitions, and best practices
