Come build your career with BAE Systems.Primary ResponsibilitiesExecute electrical designs in accordance with the Engineering Procedures and Standards and specific client standards where applicable.Works in conjunction with Manager, Sr. Principal, Project Managers and Electrical Team Leader plan the work and balance deliverables with budgets.Maintains understanding of project schedule, status and technical issues. Review all designs issued prior to client submission with supervisor and Department Head.Able to lead technical team and deliver design for various clients. Provide support to assigned staff on technical and administrative issues.Maintains strong understanding of all associated Codes and Standards and ensure compliance in all Team activities.Continuously improves the Team's deliverable quality, communications, attitude and efficiency.Will be responsible for the design of power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power supply in accordance to all applicable NEC codes and standards.Develop and evaluate best engineering solutions for projects, including commercial, mission critical, healthcare, science, technology, government and specialty marketsWorks as part of project team in the production of engineering solutions for large scale and complex building projects, corroborates/coordinates with other design team members including architect, mechanical or structural engineers to ensure electrical systems are integrated with the project's goalsManage budgets and scope of workPerform Construction Administration tasks such as field visits and subsequent issuance of field reports, responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.Perform studies associated with conceptual designs which may require site surveys of existing conditions, system sizing and definition of required space for anticipated electrical equipmentPerform other duties as assignedOperations & Staff DevelopmentActively manages technical tasks and project efforts within the Electrical Team in close coordination with the Engineering team balancing deliverables, company expectations and budget based upon the allocated fee.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsProficient in computer use and software's including, but not limited to; AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Navisworks.Communication skills sufficient to work directly with directors, managers and customers, so professionalism is necessary.Background in engineering design of electrical systems as well as the components of distributionAbility to use good judgement and make decisions with authority.Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor of Science degree in Engineering.12-15 years' experience and designing electrical systems in high performance facilities.Experience in execution of large-scale, multi-year capital projectsProfessional Engineering license is a plus.Demonstrated success developing direct reports through effective leadership and the setting of realistic but challenging goalsExperience with construction and renovation projects. Aerospace and defense industry requiring adherence to specific ICDs and DoD construction standards is a plusProficiency with construction design software solutions such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam RevuPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
