divh2CFV Fayetteville Orthopedics Sports Medicine/h2pLocation: Fayetteville, North Carolina/ppJob Family: Clinics - Outpatient/ppWork Shift: Days (United States of America)/ppSummary: Ensure optimum patient flow through the office; accurate and prompt submission of invoices to billing/collection department; initiation and maintenance of medical records; accurate, efficient scheduling of patient visits and accurate entry of ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes for patient charge and documentation purposes; accurate transcription of non-medical dictation; timely submission of reports./ph3Major Job Functions/h3pThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:/pulliRegister patients expediently while obtaining accurate information; schedule patient appointments for initial and follow-up visits and procedures/liliEnsure the completion of new patient information and update information for the medical record/liliReceive calls regarding appointments; determine the appropriate provider, length, and type of appointment; schedule appointments accurately/liliCollect monies from patients in payment of bill or insurance deductible and co-payment on outpatient accounts; document receipts; prepare cash report at days end/liliOrder all outside tests requested by the doctor; schedule patient appointments, confirm/liliEnter ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding patient activity information, procedures into data processing system daily/liliTranscribe all non-medical dictation/liliSubmit billing invoices to billing/collection department daily, under the supervision of the Physician Billing Manager/liliFile, fax and/or mail reports and records/liliCompile and submit month end reports in a timely manner/liliAssists in tracking supply inventory.
