UX/UI Developer & Designer with Security Clearance

The Fun Stuff Manage communication websites, to include not just updates to content but improving functionality (a UX’ers dream) using WordPress and Joomla Building websites from the ground up The Necessities Youmust have abachelor’sdegree in UX, Design, Development, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience (4 additional yearsof professional experience working as a front-end developer, web designer, UX designer, or related fieldcan be substituted inlieu of degree) Experience designing and developing high-quality websitesusingWordPress and Joomla! Experience with HTML and CSS You have an awesome portfolio or link you can share thatshowcasesdesign experience Ability to take the reins and manage projects thought the website development process Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockupsis your jam Knowledge of human-centered designmethodologyor design thinking principles You can successfully build out websites from the ground up and easily transfer existing content along the way Working independently or jumping in to work collaboratively with a team The Nice to Haves Knowledge of WCAG 2.x, Section 508 compliance, responsive design, and front-end best practices in secure government environments Certifications in UX/UI, Accessibility, and/or Front-End Development The Place to Be Work location is on-site in McLean, VA. The Salary: Salary range provided during the selection process. Exact pay will be determined based on individual factors that may include years of experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable, position urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
