Sr. Accountant Austin, TX, US Job Description Experience: Mid Level Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year Job Details We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. This individual will play a key role in our Accounting department, providing critical financial expertise to aid in our company's growth and success. Responsibilities
- Preparing and posting complex journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all transactions
- Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, verifying and reconciling invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records
- Producing detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Coordinating with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for audit processes
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other professional accounting certification is highly desirable
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statements
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations
