Details Work in a 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting Care for a high-risk obstetric patient population, including immediate newborn care Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2 Utilizes Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment Charting completed in Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR systems Perform or assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy procedures Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM 13-week assignment length Weekends and on-call not required but available upon approval Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU units Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required High-risk obstetric experience required Immediate newborn care experience required Circulating experience preferred Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM) US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care for laboring and postpartum patients, including high-risk cases and newborn care Work alongside a care team including charge nurses, PCTs, and CSTs Best personality fit includes being outgoing, friendly, and adaptable Scrubs/attire provided per unit dress code Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-747658.
