Req #: 48692 Category: Nurse Practitioner Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Facility: Barnabas Health Medical Group Department: RWJUH Behavioral Pay Range: $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year Location: 1 Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Job Overview Looking for a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse to join our dynamic Behavioral Health Team in our New Brunswick inpatient Crisis Unit. The APN provides psychiatric services for patients within a psychosocial milieu, maintaining evidence-based practice and assuming responsibility for advancing knowledge through available resources and programs. Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing RN License APN License PMHNP Certification CDS and DEA BLS Scheduling Requirements M-F 8a-5p Weekend coverage as needed Essential Functions Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, intakes, consults, and maintain a case load with complete clinical documentation. Maintain knowledge of patient population and uphold ANA code of ethics standards. Ensure safety in practice and apply evidence-based principles through continued learning and collaboration. Provide advanced level nursing care based on graduate education and extensive behavioral health experience. Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, case managers and other health care professionals. Practice in accordance with NJ Board of Nursing guidelines, NJSA 13:37. Perform duties independently following standardized procedures, referring questionable situations to physicians. Deliver behavioral health care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, clinical judgment and improve patients’ health status.
