Client Engagement Specialist

Job Description WE’RE HIRING CLIENT ENGAGEMENT & OFFICE COORDINATOR Deewan Banquet | Piscataway, NJ Deewan Banquet is looking for a Client Engagement & Office Coordinator to join our team and help ensure our clients receive exceptional service from the initial inquiry through the successful completion of their event. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines office administration, customer service, event coordination, and teamwork with our banquet and kitchen teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create, review, and maintain client contracts and invoices Liaise with clients regarding their upcoming events, including menus, linens, timelines, special requests, and event details Answer and manage customer inquiries, questions, phone calls, emails, and text messages Maintain and update client information and activities in our CRM system Follow up with clients and ensure all event details are communicated clearly and accurately Coordinate and communicate with the kitchen team regarding upcoming events Share, update, and confirm client menus and special requests with the kitchen team Work closely with the kitchen and banquet teams to ensure each event is properly prepared and executed Assist clients with banquet tours and venue walkthroughs Help oversee banquet events and ensure client expectations are being met Assist with weekly employee payroll Coordinate information between clients, office staff, kitchen, and banquet operations Handle general office and administrative responsibilities as needed Take initiative to identify what needs to be done and help ensure every event is a success. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Previous banquet, restaurant, hospitality, or event experience preferred — but not mandatory Understanding or familiarity with multiple cuisines , including Indian, American, Mexican, and other cuisines Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and software Strong basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems Excellent communication and customer-service skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask Quick learner who is eager to learn and grow Comfortable communicating with clients, employees, vendors, and kitchen staff Hindi-speaking preferred Spanish-speaking preferred Must be willing to work in a fast-paced banquet environment Weekend availability is mandatory.
