Quality Assurance Inspector - 2nd Shift

Job Description Job Description Summary: The QA Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections on manufactured assembled parts. Receiving inspections on vendor parts as well as conducting First Article Inspections is a core responsibility for this role. The QA Inspector proactively supports all aspects of Safety, Quality and Productivity. Shift: 2nd Shift Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch. Must be able to follow verbal instructions, written and pictorial instructions. Navigates and utilizes SAP to perform essential duties. Reads and interprets product drawings to perform inspections. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections Approved in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement inspections. Documents inspections results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste. Controls and maintains personal inspection equipment to ensure proper use and calibration. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Expected to seek and improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Monitors Change Requests/ECN's and related documentation affecting the standards and specifications of product and verifies application to identified products. Communicates required adjustments with appropriate departments to resolve documentation, hardware and assembly nonconformance issues. Assists ISO Program Coordinator Participates in 5S and Continual Improvement efforts. Demonstrates safe behaviors and promotes a safe working environment. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good interpersonal communication skills Decision making skills Able to access navigate, enter and extract information from SAP, Intranet and Sharepoint. Clear and consistent handwriting Basic computer skills: Microsoft office, Word, Excel and Outlook. Education/Experience: Minimum of (5) years related manufacturing experience. Experience in the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Field. High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education & experience.
