MODELING AND SIMULATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Mission Quantum Research is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team and develop solutions in support of AFRL, NASIC, DARPA and other Department of War and Intelligence Community projects. We are focused on finding innovative, self-starters who can adapt to a fast-paced, high-profile development effort. The position is on site (no remote/hybrid) and is located in Beavercreek, OH. Responsibilities Develop and integrate software solutions into existing M & S frameworks, such as AFSIM, ITASE, and NGTS, using modern Agile software development practices. Work with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to explore and develop solutions. Requirements At least a Top Secret clearance. Ability to obtain SCI eligibility. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years software development experience. Minimum of 3 years software development in a systems language (C++ preferred). Experience following agile development processes. Experience using source control, issue management, and CI/CD tools such as git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, Gitlab runners or similar. Experience developing software for Windows platforms. Strong communication and organizational skills. Desired Skills And Qualifications Experience working with DoD modeling and simulation frameworks, such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE. Experience working in integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and CLion. Familiarity with modeling and simulation best practices. Experience developing software for Linux platforms. Familiarity with DoD security practices. Certifications Applicable Certifications include but are not limited to any of the following: Software Engineer and Modeling & Simulation Industry related training/certification(s) a plus!
