Location : SanFrancisco, CA Specialty / Competency : Industry Tax Practice Industry / Sector : Banking and Capital Markets Time Type : Full time Travel Requirements : Up to 20% Job Overview A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. Responsibilities Advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs Act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners Help organisations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties Provide advice on tax implications of deals Help clients navigate the changing national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions Assist clients with tax structuring and address continuously changing tax challenges locally and globally Additional Responsibilities Lead technology‑enabled tax advisory through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies Leverage technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights to solve client needs Utilise One Firm knowledge across lines of service Job Requirements and Preferences Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (minimum) Accounting field of study Minimum 4 years of experience CPA or related tax, technology, or finance credentials; other credentials such as Bar membership may also qualify Preferred Qualifications Extensive experience successfully dealing with tax issues for multinational US companies or publicly traded entities, especially in tax consulting, reporting, and compliance Extensive experience as a tax technical professional researching business and industry trends to develop a point of view for proposals Extensive experience with automation & digitization, including innovation through new technologies, experimentation with digitization solutions, and working with large complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools Success in pricing, client value, and negotiation processes, including reviewing contracts and introducing new pricing options Strong client engagement: participating in discussions and meetings, communicating a range of firm services, managing engagements, handling unexpected issues while balancing project economics Experience in corporate planning and compliance, tax accounting and financial reporting, tax provision preparation, audit and review, and applying ASC740 techniques Technical proficiency with tax tools and resources such as Corptax, OneSource, and similar platforms; research methods including Westlaw, RIA, and CCH Leadership experience creating a positive environment, monitoring workloads, providing candid feedback, keeping leadership informed of progress and issues Salary & Benefits Salary Range : $98,300 – $266,000, plus discretionary annual bonus (dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws).
