High Country Home Care has been a source for quality in-home services in Newland and surrounding areas for over 30 years.CNA Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in organizing household itemsDemonstrate and assist with basic housekeeping tasks (sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dishes)Care for clothing (ironing, laundering, and simple mending)Provide transportation for approved essential shoppingAssist or administer bed or tub bath, basin, shower or sitzAssist with or dress clientAssist and/or perform hair careAssist and/or perform skin careAssist and/or perform nail care (toenails may not be trimmed if client has diabetes/peripheral vascular disease)Mouth care (including dentures)Make an unoccupied or occupied bedAssist with mobility with/without assistive devicesAssist with active range of motion exercises if prescribed by M.D.Assist with transfers with/without mechanical devicesAssist with planning and preparing proper food handling, food storage, and pest controlPrepare client for mealtime and assist with feedingTake/record vital signs, temperature, height and weightAssist client with bedpan and/or urinalApply/remove prosthetic devices for stable clientApply Ace bandages, TED's and bindersApply prescribed heat and coldChange non-sterile dressingsRecognize and report indicators of abuse, neglect, illness etc. to proper professionalProvide basic first aideRespond to emergency needs as they occur per company policyEducation: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.Individual must have received appropriate training in a Board of Nursing approved program NA-1 aide training and competency program.Individual must be listed with the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry.Minimum of 18 years of age for employment.Experience: 0-6 monthsJob Types: Full Time, Part Time, PRNBenefits:401(k) with company matchFlexible schedulePaid Time Off for Full TimeBereavement PayBonusesDental and Vision InsuranceLife insuranceHoliday PayContinuing education assistance
