Controller

The Controller is accountable for accounting operations and is involved in reviewing and updating accounting policies and procedures. The Controller produces periodic financial reports, maintains an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets. The Controller oversaw and maintained the technological components and communication systems between field and office staff. Location: South Easton MA Hours: M-F 8a-5p Pay: $140-155K/yr What’s In It For You Excellent Medical / Dental / Vision insurance package Vacation / PTO Company paid life insurance Long term/ short term disability Great work culture with room for advancement within the Relco and Crete networks 401K What The Job Entails Plans, directs, and coordinates all accounting operational functions Manages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for business functions Coordinates and prepares internal and external financial statements Maintains accounting software and database Provides management with information and reports vital to decision-making and business analysis Manages the company budget Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management Provide for a system of management cost reports Assesses current accounting operations Implements improved policies to ensure efficiency in the accounting department Evaluates accounting and internal control systems Develops and monitors business performance metrics Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Manages outsourced functions Ensures accounts receivable are collected promptly Issues timely and complete financial statements Coordinates the preparation of the corporate annual report Manages technology for field staff including, but not limited to, company cell phones and Microsoft Surfaces Troubleshoots technological deficiencies across office locations and in the field What You Need To Bring To The Table Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 5 years working in finance Strong understanding of tax codes and laws Strong communication skills in English; including listening, speaking, writing Microsoft Office 365, Sage, Quickbooks, UKG, Sales Force Maintain a positive, solutions focused attitude Ability to use good judgement and keep client information confidential Deliver consistent excellent customer service to internal/external customers, colleagues, and management Relco, a Crete United company, is an equal opportunity employer, considering all applicants for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, marital status, physical disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by state of federal law.
