POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the direct supervision of a Shift Supervisor, Residence Workers/Residential Aide's assist program residents with (1) the development of Activities of Daily Living Skills, including laundry, meal preparation and cleanup, personal hygiene, and maintaining a schedule of activities; (2) maintain inventory of food and dry goods, as well as maintenance needs; and (3) provide clients with an orientation of the facility, services and personal care items, upon arrival; etc... This includes, but is not limited to, site coverage and security procedure, and client care/crisis intervention, providing emergency first aid/CPR assistance, administration of opiate overdose prevention intervention when needed; and related duties as assigned.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work Performance

• Ensure high-quality service delivery, including participation in:
  • Monthly departmental meetings
  • Scheduled supervision
• Meet all training standards.
• Use crisis prevention and intervention skills when needed.
• Ensure 100% of clients have access to services (meals, laundry, toiletries, etc.).
• Maintain inventory of departmental supplies and report maintenance needs.
• Stay informed of and comply with:
  • Part 491/900 Regulations
  • The Callaghan Decree
  • All funding source requirements
• Ensure adherence to the program schedule (e.g., bed signing, dorm inspections, linen exchange, medication monitoring, workshops).
• Maintain working knowledge of all technological systems used by the program and affiliates.
• Foster collaborative relationships with all ANH-affiliated providers.

Reporting and Documentation

• Complete, review, and submit all internal and external reports on time.
• Ensure all work outputs are substantive.
• Complete client orientations within 24 hours of entry.
• Document hospital follow-ups in CARES within one shift.
• Complete incident reports in CARES within one shift of occurrence.
• Use the CARES Waitlist to assign beds appropriately.
• Ensure bed signing is accurate and compliant with DHS policies.
• Use Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to guide staff performance.

Client Engagement

• Provide excellent customer service to every client.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
• Follow ANH's Standards and Code of Conduct.
• Model appropriate behavior for clients.

Time and Attendance

• Adhere to assigned work schedule and minimize unscheduled absences.
• Use time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.

• HS Diploma/Equivalent
• F-02 Certificate
• Food Handler's Certificate
• CPR & First Aid
• Overdose Prevention Rescue Training
• Basic computer skills (MS Office)
• Knowledge of internet and email services
