Client: Young adult living with a spinal cord injury

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM

Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking a dependable, compassionate caregiver to support a young client with a spinal cord injury. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing hands-on personal care, assisting with transfers, and helping the client maintain an active daily routine.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with the morning routine

• Perform safe transfers using a Hoyer lift

• Assist with showering three days per week

• Provide personal hygiene, grooming and dressing support

• Drive the client to appointments

• Prepare meals as needed

• Provide companionship and mobility support

• Maintain a safe, respectful and positive environment

Requirements:

• Hoyer lift experience required, or willingness to complete training

• Experience with spinal cord injury care preferred

• CNA or HHA certification preferred

• Must be comfortable assisting with transfers, showering and personal care

• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and current auto insurance

• Safe driving record

• Dependable transportation and punctuality

• Must pass a background check and provide references

Pay: $21–$22 per hour, depending on experience

The right caregiver will be patient, respectful and encouraging, with an understanding of the importance of independence and dignity. Experience with spinal cord injury care is preferred, but we are willing to train a dependable caregiver who is motivated to learn.
