Quality Assurance Technician Job Summary The Quality Assurance Technician’s main responsibility is to ensure safety and quality across the board. You will be maintaining QA compliance as well as reporting your findings and notifying your supervisor and the manufacturing team of any unsafe products or conditions. Key Responsibilities Follow Safety Guidelines Exhibit understanding of Item specification and Packaging Quality process requirements Follow safety procedures Alert the supervisor of any unsafe conditions Maintain Quality Standards Inspect products with measuring tools Follow testing methods and ensure that all other QA personnel are performing them properly Audit incoming materials to ensure quality requirements – document results Audit manufacturing while production is in process to ensure processes & procedures are followed – document discrepancies and report to the supervisor Notify the supervisor right away of any compliance discrepancies For products that don’t meet quality standards, check previous boxes and set aside defective materials on a separate pallet with a filled-out ‘hold’ tag Follow Processes Perform QA tasks for the Printing, Laminating, Slitting, and Converting departments Stay up to date on processes laid out by the supervisor Adhere to processes and get clarification when needed Perform other relevant duties to the role as they arise Required Qualifications Knowledge of raw materials/manufacturing equipment Ability to do basic math Ability to use and accurately read measurements on a ruler Basic computer skills and data entry Preferred Qualifications Detail-oriented & good organization skills Communication skills Familiarity with industry standards and regulations Experience with quality control processes Physical Requirement Must be comfortable standing for an entire shift up to 10 hours Ability to lift heavy objects up to 60 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr Polycraftind
