We’re looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Mahwah, NJ area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They carry out undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires. Qualifications Required qualifications: At least 18 years old Legally authorized to work in the United States 2 years of experience or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties Extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs Preferred qualifications: State inspection license(s) ASE Certifications: G1 (Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair), A4 (Suspension and Steering), A5 (Brakes) Physical demands: Mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and repair.
