Whether you aspire to be a leader or a technical expert, this position will set you up for success in the future.The Manufacturing Engineer Fabrication team is integral to the success of the two manufacturing plants in Goodyear. The fabrication department there consists of more than 75 machines producing hundreds of sheet metal components, plastic components, and copper tubes.Primary ResponsibilitiesOrder, install, start-up, and support fabrication equipment including Robotic welders, flat sheet laser cutters, press brakes, turret punch presses, panel benders, thermoformers, 5-axis routers, and custom automated equipmentPlan and coordinate upgrades on existing fabrication equipment working with external vendors, utility contractors, and maintenance teamServe as the manufacturing engineering representative on cross functional team projects related to new product development, continuous improvement, and cost reductionProvide guidance to the production support and maintenance groups in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Lead root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective measuresProvide engineering support for welding and sanding/finishing processes. Help team members develop an understanding of the equipment, manufacturing process, and quality expectation.
