Job InformationThe Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare organization in Russellville, Alabama seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in healthcare finance, gain exposure to hospital operations, and work closely with leadership on impactful financial initiatives.Exposure to hospital and multi-entity financial operationsDirect collaboration with leadership, including the CFOOpportunity to grow within a stable, mission-driven environmentHands-on involvement in financial reporting, audits, and strategic initiativesPrepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain the General LedgerAssist with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end closePerform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviewsCompile and analyze financial and statistical dataSupport financial operations across clinics and home health entitiesPartner with internal teams to support business and finance initiativesAssist with audits, cost reports, and compliance processesWork closely with leadership on special projects and financial analysisBachelor's degree in Accounting (required)2–3 years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of: General Ledger accounting Financial reporting Reconciliations and month-end processes Healthcare or hospital accounting experience Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operationsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage confidential financial data with discretionStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departmentsExceptional patient care starts with a team that feels valued, supported, and empowered - backed by comprehensive compensation and benefits every step of the way Benefits Medical, Rx, Dental, Vision, Life & AD&D Insurance Retirement Plans PTO, Leave of Absence Maternity/Disability Leave Flexible Spending Account Work Environment Fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting Office-based role with regular collaboration across departments Opportunity to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes in patient care delivery
