Orthopedics Nurse

Provides comprehensive patient care on an orthopedics unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Key Responsibilities Promote patient- and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities while engaging in ongoing professional development. Develop and document individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. Maintain safety-sensitive standards by working alertly and safely at all times. Qualifications & Skills Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; RN license required. Preferred: BSN degree and 2+ years of experience in orthopedics or med-surg. Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate critical nursing skills.
