Senior Analyst / Manager, Contracts

Senior Contracts Analyst or Contracts Manager (full-time onsite, 5 days/week in San Diego, CA). Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, evaluate, draft, and negotiate company contracts. Responsibilities: Draft, negotiate, and review contract documents to ensure reasonableness and accuracy; ensure sufficient timeframes and deliverables; identify and resolve clauses adverse to Arrowhead’s interests. Assist in managing the contracting system (enter and track contract requests and assignments). Negotiate contract terms within established corporate parameters. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding contracts. Write and/or edit contract communications and notices. Assist with other general legal matters as appropriate. Balance big-picture concerns with day-to-day execution; involve the right people at the right time to address business partner needs and develop creative solutions. Requirements: 3+ years (Senior Contracts Analyst) or 5+ years (Contracts Manager) negotiating a large volume of contracts. Superior negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail. Strong analytical, critical/strategic thinking, and project management skills; ability to apply information across related situations. Experience coordinating with internal clients. Outstanding organizational and time management. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business/biotech (or equivalent experience). Pharmaceutical/biotech experience; experience with clinical trial agreements. Experience with Agiloft contract management system.
