Anesthesiology Opportunity in Whiteville, NC
Looking for 1099/IC anesthesiologists to join Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC, a family-oriented community. Founded in 1935, the not-for-profit Columbus Regional Healthcare System (CRHS) started as a 12-bed hospital in a Victorian home in Whiteville. Today, the modern 154-bed facility of CRHS is known for its skilled and dedicated medical providers, who represent a range of specialties.
Our group consists of four anesthesiologists and seven CRNAs who work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.
Responsibilities include assisting in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department, responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed.
Requirements include an M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX completion, completion of an approved residency in anesthesia, and currently being licensed as a physician.
Whiteville, NC: The small community of Whiteville features a warm climate, a family-oriented lifestyle, and southern-style hospitality. It is about an hour away from Myrtle Beach, a popular Atlantic Coast destination, and from the port city of Wilmington. Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, is about two hours away. Located in Columbus County, NC, Whiteville has a lively downtown that offers one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants. Fans of fresh air and outdoor recreation will appreciate the appeal of kayaking, boating, and fishing on nearby Lake Waccamaw.
Area attractions include the North Carolina Pecan Harvest Festival, Lake Waccamaw, and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Colleges and schools in the area include Southeastern Community College, Whiteville City Schools, Columbus Christian Academy, and Carolina Adventist Academy.
Total rewards include an hourly rate of $250.
