Maritime Electronic Warfare Business Development Sr. Staff

Basic Qualifications 10+ years of business development and/or defense operational experience. Understanding of extant and developing RF‑based sensing and electronic attack capabilities. Self‑motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance in a highly competitive environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Insight into the defense market and ability to assess approaches and candidate strategies. Prior experience in business development and managing people and resources. Active Secret clearance. Responsibilities Serve as interface for collaboration and teaming with small and large businesses; execute teaming process actions in accordance with LM legal policies. Integrate and partner within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area and other LM BAs (Aeronautics, Missiles and Fire Control, Space) to support collaborative market strategies and long‑range plans. Represent MEW for integrated process teams (IPT), working groups, campaigns, and cross‑business BD efforts. Coordinate with LM Government Affairs (LMGA), Global BD & Strategy (GBDS), Corporate Engineering and Technology (CE&T), and others as required. Support the pursuit of domestic and international MEW through customer briefings, workshops, and demonstrations. Identify, qualify and manage new business opportunities consistent with LM growth strategies; manage progress via LM’s Opportunity Hub. Budget New Business Fund (NBF) expenditures for marketing, bids, proposals, and keep‑sold efforts. Respond to Requests for Information/Solutions/Proposals and close new business orders. Develop material for MEW new business reviews (NBR) aligning with REAS higher‑level NBRs. Plan and co‑develop Long‑Range Plan (LRP) and Strategic Forecast Model (SFM) orders with Finance & Business Operations (F&BO). Develop material for the MEW Monthly Execution Review (MER); establish and execute contact plans. Represent LM MEW at conferences and trade shows; work with LM Communications, LMGA, Corporate S&BD, CE&T, and others as required. Establish and execute win and growth strategies and investment plans. Metrics for success include identifying and winning new business opportunities, establishing market‑focused growth strategies, developing and growing the new business pipeline, capturing profitable and strategic new business, building strong internal and external teams, penetrating new and adjacent markets, and establishing strategic customer and industry partnerships. Desired Skills Broad strategic thinker with strong understanding of non‑kinetic missile defense markets and established relationships among US stakeholders and key international partners. Defense Acquisition experience, including competitive source selection under FAR and middle‑tier acquisition rules. Significant experience in RF passive sensing and electronic attack capabilities/technologies. Ability to work across a geographically dispersed organization and demonstrate teamwork. International marketing and capture experience (Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, Korea, Australia, New Zealand). Remote Work Part‑time remote telework is allowed: the employee will work part of the schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
