Environmental Services Floor TechnicianThe Environmental Services Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all floors (carpets, vinyl, tile, laminate and concrete).Major work activities include:Cleaning all carpet in the facility.Removing stains from floors.Maintaining a safe environment at all times.Buffing and spray waxing floors.Mopping floors.Cleaning cove base.Minor repair to equipment.Keeping equipment clean.Moving furniture.Performing specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Environment Services Supervisor.Knowledge, skills, and working conditions:Floor care knowledge desirable.Knowledge of chemicals and their uses.Knowledge of OSHA codes.Skilled in buffing, stripping, and waxing.Must be able to read and write.Must be able to use buffer, mops, brooms, carpet cleaning machine, power washer, some hand tools, and wet/dry vacuum cleaner.Knowledge in safety and resident safety.Knowledge of hazardous materials related to job.Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending are required at all times.Constant standing and walking while controlling machines.Ability to work varying shifts.Possess the ability to self-manage time and take direction.Minimum qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or GED.Licensure/Certification: None required.Experience: Floor care knowledge desirable. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
