Denver Truck Painting is a small family-owned and operated business for over 45 years. We have been the go to truck collision shop in southeastern Pennsylvania since 1980. We have an opening for the right person who has the drive to repair and replace damaged hoods and panels on class 8 trucks. We work predominantly on PACCAR trucks but repair all types of trucks . This is a "hybrid" position designed for a technician that is familiar with the body repair side of repairing class 8 trucks. Your technical and mechanical skills will be utilized as well.

We will consider apprentice training the right individual.

* You will be required to disassemble damaged trucks and reassemble new parts or repaired panels. Automotive and or truck mechanical and electrical skills are mandatory. You must be able to diagnose minor electrical issues and repair or replace damaged items as needed. Ability to work on 134A systems is a bonus.

Denver Truck Painting is in need of an employee with the following attributes:

Must be a team player but still work independently at times. No one person has every skill. It takes a team of valuable specialists to complete our mission.

- You must be flexible to move from job to job for intermittent repair issue or to assist coworkers.

- Follow instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the repairs are estimated at.

- Removing wheels, replacing radiators, ATAAC, grill condensers, bumpers, drivelines, u-joints, wheel studs, installing fenders, custom visors, windshields, electrical harness, seats, dashboards, headlights, engine mounts, 5th wheels, steering components, crossmembers, air dryers, air cleaners, installing lights and more.

- Remove upholstery, accessories, window mechanisms, seats and trim panels to gain access to the vehicle structure.

- Remove damaged areas of glass, rubber, metal, and fiberglass of vehicles using metal-cutting tools, air grinders, and impact wrenches. Install replacement parts using wrenches or welding equipment. Fit, epoxy, rivet or huck bolt new replacement parts in place of damaged parts.

- File, grind, sand, smooth, prime, and apply filler to repaired surfaces using power and hand tools as needed.

- Road Test (if CDL able), inspect repaired vehicles for proper functions, dimensional accuracy and overall appearance when the job is completed.

- Cut and tape plastic separating film to outside repair areas to avoid damaging surrounding surfaces during repair procedure, prepare the surface to be painted, and tape and wash surfaces after repairs are complete. Painting skills are not required and are optional during training.

- Use of 12-foot ladders to reach higher surfaces of the vehicle is required.

- Be willing to share and teach fellow employees as well as take instruction.

- Lifting 50 pounds with occasionally lifting 100 pounds.
