Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic Teaching Assistant to join our team! You will be assisting the head teacher with planning and implementing both whole-classroom and small-group instruction.
If you are passionate about learning and love working with children, possess strong creative and organizational skills, and you are caring and patient and want to make a difference in the lives of young children; than this is the job for you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical care of young children, making sure they feel safe and loved.
- Supervise students in classroom and playground. Ensure safety
- Provide extra assistance to students with special needs
- Observe students’ performance and record relevant data to assess progress
- Teach social skills to students
- Effectively communicate with families
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- A year of previous teaching assistant experience preferred but not required
- High-energy with a love of working with children
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to lift 40 pounds
