Phlebotomist

Job Summary Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Novi, MI. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM and every other Saturday 7:00 AM-1:00 PM. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program. 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital or clinic setting. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is insufficient. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record if required. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
