Truck Driver CDL A Regional Solo

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Kansas City, KS. The position offers weekly pay, extensive benefits, and a rewarding driving career. $1900 Average or more per week Driver Positions Pay Weekly Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour – Additional $1/hour for every 3 certifications or endorsements Hours Per Week: 40+ hours per week Paid Training Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexibility required Top 10% of drivers earn $115,000+ annually Overtime paid after 40 hours

• 50 per diem per night
• 1000 annual tenure bonus

Truck & Route Details Deliver SOLO To: IL, WI, MO, MN, KS, IA, NE, ND, and SD Route: Regional Tractor Type: Day cabs, sleepers, and occasional straight trucks Trailer Types: flatbed, dry van, reefer, conestoga, curtainside, and container Equipment: pallet jack, rollers, lift gate, Moffett Freight: Touch and No-Touch Load securement experience required (strapping, tarping, chaining) Paid travel with overnight stays in Ryder-booked hotel or sleeper Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder Drug Test Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards and maintaining accurate records and logs Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer Performs other duties as assigned Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO your first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided Drivers have the authority to make safety decisions, and job is protected 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to specific eligibility criteria, including work tenure) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
