Senior Global Sourcing Manager - Semiconductors

Job DescriptionThe RoleAs a member of the GM semiconductor purchasing team, you will be part of developing a strong semiconductor supply chain to support our fast-growing electronics & software needs.Specifically, you will be responsible for a particular semicategory category and actively leading the development of commodity strategies, sourcing/negotiations, budget, and execution. You will manage relationships, collaborate with suppliers and internal key stakeholders including engineering, legal, finance, operations and drive cross-functional alignment. Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment.What You’ll DoDevelop and execute purchasing strategies based on business, market, and technology trends and establish strong and competitive supply baseResponsible for purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and/or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or servicesNegotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract packageOptimize supply performance by analyzing and applying appropriate tools including benchmarking, cost and value chain analysis, negotiations, supply chain analysisWork closely with cross functional partners internally and externally to trade off imperatives, identify creative solutions, and gain alignment, incl during RFQ management, change management, Procure to Pay, order fulfillment, and customer satisfactionDrive for winning outcomes that are focused on the mission of the businessDevelop and manage great supplier relationshipsProvide pro-active communication and resolution of issuesDevelop protection of supply and contingency plansYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)5+ years relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics or product development (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered)Experience in SemiconductorsExperience managing and negotiating commercial issues with suppliers as well as contract drafting, redlining, and working cross functionally with legalProven leadership capabilityStrong analytical skillsOpen-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solveAbility to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders within time constraints, as well as building relationships internally & externallyExperience working in a fast-paced and evolving environmentHighly proficient oral and written communication skills and adept at engaging and presenting to Senior ExecutivesDemonstrates ability to develop and apply deep cost knowledgeKnowledge of procurement and materials software, as well as MS software applications10% travel internationally and domesticallyWhat Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related fieldMBA or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional abilityCompensation:The salary range for this role is $124,200 – 197,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.Benefits: GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
