Field Service Technician - HACLocation: Livermore or Modesto, CAReports to: Field Service ManagerSummary of the Position:Provides maintenance and technical support for Sullair products at customer field locations. Considered an expert on all Sullair rotary products and accessories. Must have broad knowledge and experience on competitive rotary products. Installs new products or enhances existing ones; may provide training and best practices for on-site customer personnel. Identifies and troubleshoots all possible malfunctions and conducts or schedules repairs. Prepares detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions. Logs and tracks maintenance activities. Works with various departments at Hitachi Global Air Power to address concerns from the field to drive issues to a timely closure. Documents service visits and generates reports with action items. Supports the Sullair Training Department for customers, distributors, and employees. This position will report directly to the Field Service Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:Performs any needed service on all Sullair rotary products without supervisionTravels to field jobsites for troubleshooting and service of Sullair and competitive rotary productsFollows standard work for pre and post service preparation (submit expense reports, prepare service reports, make travel arrangements, complete timecards)On call as scheduled for afterhours customer supportFollows all Environmental Health and Safety policies and proceduresCommunicates distributor feedback to Sullair management as Voice of CustomerDrives field concerns to closure in a timely mannerSupports goal of service within the Service Department of 95%Contributes to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customersPerforms all duties in accordance with company standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customerDedicated to completion of responsibilitiesMust be fluent in English and have a valid driver's license.
