Technical Trainer

Job Overview The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing technical training programs for Marmon Link’s Support Contact Center, Marmon Foodservice Technologies’ Authorized Service Agent (ASA) network, and other MFT and Marmon Link personnel. The role designs training materials that enhance the skill sets and competencies of technicians and technical support representatives using a blended learning approach. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver training materials for technicians servicing MFT products, technical support representatives, and customer technical experts. Work with MFTA and Marmon Link leaders and subject matter experts (SME) to identify training needs. Collaborate with engineering teams to learn new products as they are being developed. Conduct regular learning needs assessments as part of the training team. Participate in content design, partner with vendors, and facilitate programs where needed. Independently run training webinars and virtual Q&A sessions. Maintain records and communications of training conducted. Coordinate and conduct in‑person workshops for hands‑on learning. Collaborate with peers and SMEs across MFT, particularly within Marketing, Engineering, and Product Management. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications, Skills & Competencies 5+ years’ experience in training within a technical or mechanical industry. Familiarity with developing professional content such as e‑learning, instructional videos, classroom training, SOP documentation, job aids, facilitation guides, and training programs both online and in‑person. Ability to understand mechanical/technical concepts and terminology and teach them in a simplified manner. Coordination and delivery of virtual training sessions. Proficiency in presenting training content visually, organized, and easy to understand. Experience using and managing third‑party/freelance developers of training materials. Ability to present to audiences of varying sizes in both live and virtual settings. Ambition and a willingness to learn rapidly. Strong interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills. Comfortable in ambiguous situations. Travel Requirements 25–50% for on‑site events. Preferred Requirements Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment. Working Conditions Work is performed in a warehouse/office environment with at least 40 hours per week but may vary according to special projects or deadlines.
