Practice Info Part of Optum family of businesses Multi-specialty clinic with more than 900 medical providers in 65 medical specialties Department of Allergy and Immunology for Adults provides consultative services Multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses offers patient management, patient/family education and support services Treats chronic ailments and illnesses such as asthma, food or drug allergies, and insect hypersensitivity Responsibilities Interview patients and families Perform complete physical examination Order appropriate diagnostic studies, diets, and nursing monitoring and intervention Recognize clinical problems and formulate a logical diagnosis Evaluate and manage adult/pediatric allergy and immunological conditions Evaluate and manage allergy and immunological diseases Interpret diagnostic laboratory studies Perform allergy testing: percutaneous, antibiotics, biologicals, stinging insects' antigens, intradermals Administer immunizations Conduct ingestion challenge testing Provide inhalation therapy Apply local and topical anesthesia Compensation Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $254,000 - $485,500 Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase 401k contribution Requirements Graduate of an approved training program in the United States Board Certified and/or Board Eligible Licensed in the state of Texas
