Lead, EVS/Housekeeping - Nights - Chula Vista

Job Overview This is a full-time position located at our Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista. Must be able to work a Night shift of 10:00pm-6:30am and a varied schedule including weekends. Responsibilities The Lead, Environmental Services will be the shift lead and primary contact for the day shift staff. Performs job functions to support environmental care: Patient Care area cleaning, Non-Patient Care area cleaning, Linen Service, Waste Removal, Sharps container removal, Meeting/Event set-up/breakdown, and Infection Control/Sanitation. Primarily responsible for lead duties such as staff scheduling, training, supervising and monitoring for quality assurance while utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. Follows established policies and practices to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Title XXII and other applicable regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required: Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Preferred: 1 year of EVS Housekeeping experience in healthcare.
