Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Clarvida is looking for a Full Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Anaheim Adult Program, under the direction of a medical doctor. The role performs comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment of clients with mental disorders. Essential Duties / Responsibilities Conducts initial client assessment to include obtaining psychiatric and medical history, performing psychiatric assessment and overall health assessment for any presenting problem Orders necessary laboratory studies, monitors and follows‑up on abnormal results Provides prescriptions for psychiatric medications under the advice and direction of a medical doctor Assesses and evaluates responses to medications and monitors for potential side effects or adverse reactions Consults with other members of the treatment team on clients’ treatment plans Documents using Anasazi Electronic Health Record, a complete assessment and plan including all medication changes on each client and all other mandatory documents as designated by Program Director Obtains medication consents when appropriate Participates in staff in‑service and case presentation meetings Consults with medical doctor regularly on treatment plans for clients Performs duties as designated by ACT model treatment modality Performs home visits and off‑site visits as required by the needs of the families and participants Provides support and performs other duties as assigned or necessary May provide direct supervision to any LPT or LVN on staff Works under minimal supervision by Program Director and Staff Psychiatrist Recovery Requirements Provide the best customer care possible, including reliability in working a flexible working schedule Identify and build upon the strengths of consumers, coworkers, and the communities we serve Support consumers’ steps towards recovery and wellness Create an organizational culture that respects and celebrates the diversity of our consumers Value learning as an ongoing process that enables us to better service our consumers and establishes our leadership in the industry Research and utilize our industry’s best practices and analyze our own services to ensure the best possible outcomes Education / Licensing Requirements Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s in nursing Current Nurse Practitioner license from the Board of Registered Nursing in the practicing state Compensation & Benefits Full‑time Employees: Paid vacation days (increase with tenure) Separate sick leave that rolls over annually Up to 10 paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance options DailyPay – access your earnings without waiting for payday Training, development, and continuing education opportunities All Employees: 401(k) Free licensure supervision Pet insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Perks – national discounts on shopping, travel, Verizon, and entertainment Mileage reimbursement Company cellphone (*Benefits may vary by state or county) Work Location: Anaheim, California Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $87/hr Equal Opportunity Employer – Clarvida is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
