Job Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems based on project specifications and drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate pricing and budgeting for construction projects.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to determine the most competitive and feasible options.
• Review and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide value-engineering recommendations.
• Maintain an updated database of material and labor costs for accurate pricing estimates.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to present and discuss estimates with stakeholders.
• Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with the approved budget.

The Successful Applicant

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the Property industry.
• Proven ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• A degree in a related field, such as construction management, engineering, or a comparable discipline.
