Personal Care Assistant

A Personal Care Assistant supports clients with day-to-day living tasks in a home or community setting, with an emphasis on safety, comfort, and respectful personal support. Typical duties may include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders when authorized, mobility support, and help with errands or appointments. The role may also involve observing changes in a client’s condition and reporting concerns to the appropriate supervisor or care team member. Baseline qualifications usually include the ability to follow care instructions, communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and show patience and reliability. Prior experience in personal care, home care, or a similar support role is often helpful. This position may require standing, walking, lifting, bending, and occasional assistance with transfers. The schedule is full time and may include varied hours depending on client needs.
