We are looking for leaders to supervise our campers and ensure they learn and have a fantastic summer.
What do Camp Counselors do?
Being reliable and willing to build relationships with children are two essential traits of a good camp counselor. We want to meet you if you’re engaging and energetic, but understand that children need structure and guidance. Camp Parkwood has been around for over 20 years, providing both campers and staff with magical memories and important opportunities for personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise pre-planned daily schedules, taking into account the group’s age and interests.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
- Assist with recreational and educational activities.
- Escort and oversee children.
- Educate campers through games and explorations.
- Set up and maintain equipment (like sports equipment).
- Resolve occasional conflicts between children and address behavioral issues.
- Keep accurate records of camper behaviors.
- Have fun!
Skills
- Experience as a Camp Counselor or similar role working with children preferred, but not a deal-breaker.
- Patient and reliable
- Organizational and communication skills
- A love for children
- Energetic and positive personality
- Reliable!
