Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in ICU provides specialized patient care in intensive care units, ensuring the highest level of clinical support for critically ill patients. The role requires flexibility to float across multiple inpatient units, delivering compassionate and efficient nursing services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies following established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and clinical data to promptly identify changes in patient status.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate patient care.
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active California RN license with verification uploaded via Nursys within the last 2 weeks.
• Possess a minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience, including float experience in ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg.
• Obtain and maintain BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications, with current valid expiration dates.
• Complete NIHSS certification licensing for neurocritical care as required.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Offer references from recent employers verifying clinical competency within the past year.
