Claims Service Representative

Our client, a leading organization in healthcare services, is seeking a Claims Service Representative to join their team. As a Claims Service Representative, you will be part of the Operations - Provider Relations department supporting provider relations and claims processing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Claims Service Representative Location: Marquette, MI Pay Rate: $18.50 Shift: Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM with 1 hour lunch What's the Job? Resolve and respond to provider inquiries related to claims and claims payment in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain positive relationships with providers by providing accurate information regarding billing, benefits, eligibility, and authorizations. Navigate multiple systems to investigate and resolve claims and payment issues efficiently and accurately. Identify trends and systemic issues, collaborating with relevant departments to implement solutions. Ensure timely resolution of inquiries received through various channels including phone, email, and portals, maintaining high standards of customer service and confidentiality. What's Needed? High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree or coding certification is preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of medical office or claims/billing experience. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
