Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Room / Medical-Surgical

Overtime Rate: 1.25x the regular hourly rate
Call Rate: $4/hour

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse with strong proficiency in both Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) settings. This is a dual-specialty role requiring the ability to work independently and collaborate closely with the House Supervisor and ED providers.

Important Notes:

• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
• Candidates must not be working another permanent placement or travel assignment concurrently.
• Schedule accommodations, including block scheduling, will not be approved.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application. Requests made after submission or offer acceptance will not be approved.
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO will be accepted (fewer is preferred).
• Travelers must have their own vehicle.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience (Required)
• 2+ years of current Medical-Surgical experience (Required)
• Previous travel experience (Preferred)
• TNCC certification (Preferred)
• PALS certification (Preferred)
• BSN (Preferred)

Required Documentation:

• Current work history
• Emergency Room Skills Checklist (within the last year).
• Medical-Surgical Skills Checklist (within the last year).
• Two supervisory signed references from the past two years.
• Active Iowa RN License or Compact License.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
• Permanent address included in profile.
• All RTO requests disclosed at the time of submission.

Required Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)

License Requirement:

• Iowa RN License or Compact License accepted.
