Transportation Planning Manager

Position: Transportation Planning Manager



Experience: 10+ years



Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field



Employment Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior and mid-level transportation planners.

• Manage transportation projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables .

• Oversee Traffic Impact Studies, Transportation Management Plans (TMPs), parking analysis, and multimodal corridor studies .

• Oversee transportation sections of EIS/EIR and PSR/PR projects.

• Review traffic models and technical reports, particularly Synchro and VISSIM .

• Coordinate with Caltrans and local municipalities to support project approvals and successful project delivery.

• Support business development, proposal preparation, client relationships, and client presentations/interviews .

• Provide senior-level technical guidance and quality control.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation planning.

• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or project management role .

• Strong experience with traffic analysis/modeling and transportation planning projects .

• Experience with Synchro and/or VISSIM .

• Experience working with Caltrans and/or local government agencies is highly preferred.

• Strong project management, communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field .
