MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center has a need for a Perm Neurosurgeon provider.

Open Dates:

April 17 at 7am - April 25 at 7am
May 1 at 7am - May 8 at 7am
June 12 at 7am - June 19 at 7am
June 30 at 7am - July 7 at 7am

Details:

Client is open to Locum, Locum to Perm or Perm
24 hour call shifts, approximate 7-8 consecutive days/nights of call.
Average number of surgical cases per day: 1
Level II Trauma Level
Annual ER Volume: 65,000
EMR System: Inpatient is Cerner and Outpatient is AllScripts
Number of Neurosurgeons in Practice: 4
Description of OR Staff: Dedicated Neuro-Ortho surgery team, will have an APP for all cases
Patient Demographic: Adult

Procedures Required:

Cranial Burr Holes
Intracranial Pressure Monitor or Insertion of, Intracranial Hemorrhage
Tumor Removal
Braid Bleed Stoppage
Trauma Repair
Shunt Insertion or Revision
Stereotactic Radiosurgery
Traumatic Brain Injury
Neurocritical Conditions
Ventricular Taps, Ventriculoperitoneal shunt/taps/reprogramming, Ventriculostomy
Spine Surgery Procedures, Discectomy, Laminectomy, Spinal Fusion, Spine Stabilization and Reconstruction
Lumbar Puncture
Placement of Lumbar Drains
CSF Sampling from Shunts or External Ventricular Drains
Management and Interpretation of ICP and CPP Data
External Ventricular Drain Management

Requirement description :

Board Certified (ABNS) or Board Eligible - Required
IA License - Required (IMLC accepted - note at time of name clear)
BLS, ACLS, PALS, APLS, NALS or ATLS - Required
COVID Vaccination - Required (Note at time of name clear)
Availability - note at time of name clear
Experience with Adult and Trauma Neurosurgery cases
