Industrial Engineer

Job Title: Industrial Engineer – Warehouse & Distribution Operations Location: New Berlin, Wisconsin Duration: Long Term Position Summary The Industrial Engineer – Warehouse & Distribution Operations is responsible for developing and implementing standardized warehouse processes across Client's distribution operations in New Berlin, WI. This role will establish engineered labor standards, conduct time studies, optimize staffing, improve warehouse layouts and material flow, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. Working closely with Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and Engineering, this position will develop scalable operating standards that support operational excellence and future growth. Primary Areas of Support Receiving Conforming / Repackaging Kitting & Picking Packing & Shipping Inventory Control & Cycle Counting Warehouse Layout & Material Flow Continuous Improvement Key Responsibilities Warehouse Engineering & Labor Optimization Develop standardized warehouse operating procedures and standard work. Establish engineered labor standards through time and motion studies. Develop staffing models based on workload and operational demand. Optimize warehouse layouts, storage strategies, and material flow. Maintain labor standards and identify productivity improvement opportunities. Continuous Improvement Lead Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives across warehouse operations. Eliminate waste and improve workflow, ergonomics, and operational efficiency. Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Analytics & Project Leadership Develop warehouse KPIs and productivity dashboards. Analyze ERP/WMS data to identify improvement opportunities. Build business cases and ROI analyses for operational improvements. Lead warehouse engineering, layout, and process improvement projects from concept through implementation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Warehouse, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, Engineering, and IT to improve operational performance. Support warehouse expansions, automation initiatives, and strategic distribution projects. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field. Three or more years of Industrial Engineering, Distribution, Warehouse Operations, or Continuous Improvement experience. Experience establishing engineered labor standards and conducting time studies. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Lean Warehousing principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP/WMS systems. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Preferred Multi-site warehouse or distribution experience. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with Power BI, AutoCAD, Labor Management Systems, or warehouse automation.
