Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

Assist with scheduling and coordination of activities using written procedures involving building of sub-assemblies and final assemblies for application in the company's pyrotechnic products. Provides leadership through hands-on approach to the manufacturing process. Troubleshoots and corrects problems encountered in all areas of production.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Assist Production Manager in the implementation and maintenance of all standardized processes and procedures for production of CAD products.
2. Directs manufacturing personnel to ensure safety measures are achieved and in meeting production schedules.
3. Provide training to production personnel on various tasks.
4. Provides hands-on supervision as well as hands-on production assistance when required.
5. Assists in maintaining proper production records and in maintaining production schedule.
6. Adhere to all safety practices and procedures.
7. Works with Production Manager to be sure of proper release of all materials to the job in a timely fashion to meet production schedules.
8. Work with Production Manager to create weekly schedules and production personnel shifts.
9. Acts as the designated backup to the Production Manager, ensuring continuity by covering meetings and presenting performance reports as needed.
10. Record data on material and labor applications as applied into production. Record and maintain employee attendance information.
11. Identify inefficiencies and work closely with engineering and quality to implement process changes.
12. Direct and mentor production personnel, provide performance feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
13. Follows procedures as defined by CAD policies, procedures, and ISO9001:2000 requirements. Maintains confidentiality of all information processed.
14. Adhere to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and complete all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices.

Performs related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stretch, bend, kneel and stoop. The employee is regularly required to walk, communicate, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using appropriate moving devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to solder, fluxes, cleaners, epoxies, and masking agents while using appropriate personal protective equipment. Work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment. The noise level in the environment is usually low to moderate.

Job qualifications:

Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D. One-year relevant experience. Basic knowledge of relevant equipment. Must pass the ATF Background check. Preferred: Five plus years of prior manufacturing experience with minimum of 2 years of experience as supervisor. Exhibited aptitude in manufacturing with proven initiative to achieve stated goals.
