Speech Language Pathologist

Developmental Pathways, Inc. is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in our Early Intervention (EI) Department to provide therapy services in children's natural environments, community settings, and through telehealth. In this role, you will ensure compliance with Early Intervention (EI) guidelines, documentation standards, and funding requirements while delivering high-quality, family-focused services that empower caregivers and support children's developmental progress.

· Schedule Options: This position offers a 40-hour work week with one of the following schedules:

o Monday to Thursday (10-hour days)

o Tuesday to Friday (10-hour days)

o Monday to Friday (8-hour days)

· Build meaningful relationships with children and families through a community-based model focused on developmental support and family-centered care

· Serve families throughout a local service area, with regular visits in:

o Aurora

o Douglas County: Parker, Castle Rock, and Castle Pines

· Manage a balanced caseload averaging 5 to 7 client visits per day, allowing time for quality care and collaboration

· Work alongside a passionate team dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of young children and their families through early intervention services

What You'll Do

· Join a collaborative early intervention team and provide speech-language therapy services to children ages 0 to 36 months, using a coaching approach that empowers caregivers to foster growth during everyday routines and activities

· Be a part of a dynamic, collaborative early intervention team, partnering with families, service coordinators, and fellow therapists to develop and implement IFSPs while using a coaching model that promotes shared learning, professional growth, and positive outcomes for children

· Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance, including session notes, assessment reports, billing, Medicaid requirements, and coordination with community partners

What You Bring

Required Experience

· Two (2) years' experience in the relevant field

· Specialty certification (ASHA)

· Active DORA licensure in Colorado

· Demonstrated experience with specific programmatic concepts, practices, and procedures

Education

· Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate from an accredited therapy program

Additional Requirements

· Must reside in Colorado

· Must be able to meet physical demands to include bending or twisting of the body, lifting, standing time, and sitting time to include floor play/therapy, etc.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (or approved alternative)

· Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Nice to Have

· Working knowledge of Medicaid and private insurance billing

· Knowledge of rules and regulations for Early Intervention

· Prefer additional experience in an area directly related to job assignment

· Knowledge of rules and regulations for the Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment

Compensation $76,839 – $91,246 annually + an additional $1,500 sign-on bonus

Additional Responsibilities

· May be asked to support categorical assessments and initial Evaluation Eligibility and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) development for children who are categorically eligible for Early Intervention services

· Adhere to Medicaid regulations when this is a funding source (i.e., EVV)

· Help families determine priorities for service

· Develop and maintain working case files per department policies and procedures

· Submit billing and supporting documentation timely

· Assure paperwork submitted by other service providers, individuals in service, and community partners is completed, distributed, and filed as required

· Partner with service coordinators, Child Find teams, and other community partners who serve young children to deliver early intervention services

· Attend and participate in IFSP and care coordination meetings; schedule and facilitate meetings as needed

· Maintain EI Provider and billing portal

· Ensure adherence to Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities/DIDD rules and regulations and agency policies and procedures in the provision of services. Assists in assuring full compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulatory guidelines

· May be asked to participate in the supervision of Clinical Fellow Year through CFY Program

· Speech Language Pathologists can earn credentialing on the job. As a result, there are certain job duties regarding billing and evaluations that Speech Language Pathologists must perform with supervisor review & approval
